Imprinting Perspective on the Sustainability of Commitments to Competing Institutional Logics of Social Enterprises

This study examines the conditions under which dual commitments to competing institutional logics, particularly a social vs. commercial logic, are both important organizational functioning for enterprises. Using hand-collected data from survey of 190 enterprises in South Korea, we identify reliable measure sustainability logics. We also factors associated with variation enterprise’s capacity sustain an imprinting perspective, show that entrepreneur’s non-profit experience has curvilinear effect on Moreover, non-linear logics is less profound highly ambivalent founder.
